If you are a private entity then you may use this site to verify that a certain file is illegal before you download it to avoid breaking the law. Would you believe it, in some countries they can sentence you to up to $250,000 dollars for downloading a single song. Murderers get away with more for less, so clearly there is a good reason to make sure that you do not download anything illegal.
